About Us
Physical therapy concierge services are provided in the
home, four times a week. In my experience, I have found
obstacles that commonly impede patient progress are
a lack of consistency with the home exercise program
and performing the home exercise program incorrectly.
This model relieves the parent from having do the home
exercise program while obtaining significant results in
a short time span.
Services
Is your baby on target with meeting their
gross motor milestones? They may struggle
with activities that require balance, strength,
and coordination, such as crawling, pulling to
stand on the furniture, cruising and walking.
At 1 Step Therapy, your baby will receive a
comprehensive evaluation, from a doctor of
physical therapy, to assess their current motor
function and provide tools to achieve
significant age appropriate results, in a short
time span.
- Gross Motor Delays
- Does your baby have low muscle tone? Low
muscle tone makes it harder to develop
motor skills such as rolling, sitting, crawling
and walking. At 1 Step Therapy, your baby’s
physical strength will improve, enabling them
to meet their milestones, resulting in an
engaged childhood with their peers.
- Down Syndrome
- Does your baby tilt their head to one side?
Can they turn their neck to the left and right?
Torticollis can affect a child’s ability to
develop proper neck strength, balance, and
coordination. At 1 Step Therapy, our doctor
of physical therapy is equipped to assess the
torticollis and provide effective treatment,
thus preventing other ailments as they grow.
- Torticollis
Common Diagnoses Treated
- Can your child walk to access their
environment? Typically, most children begin to
walk between 12 and 14 months of age, but in
some cases, it is delayed. A doctor of physical
therapy, at 1 Step Therapy, will assess your
child’s motor function, including their strength,
balance and coordination and provide tools to
achieve the walking milestone in a short time
span.
- Delayed Walking
Is your baby medically fragile? Does he/she
have a NG or G tube? Depending on the nature
and extent of the abnormality, babies may
experience a range of physical challenges. At 1
Step Therapy, a doctor of physical therapy is
committed to improving their independence
and confidence, with their gross motor skills,
resulting in a memorable childhood.
- Chromosomal Abnormalities
